Azure is a public cloud service platform that supports a broad selection of operating systems, programming languages, frameworks, tools, databases, and devices. SmartDocumentor is an application that runs on Microsoft Azure and takes full advantage of its built-in Storage security capabilities, namely:
Azure role-based access control (Azure RBAC) - allows organizations to enforce secure data access by granting appropriate access rights through the assignment of Azure roles to groups and applications. This ensures the implementation of the "need to know" and "least privilege" security principles, including the control of access to storage keys in the Azure Resource Manager model.
Shared Access Signature - allows us to delegate restricted access to storage account resources, enabling us to grant specific permissions for a set duration without the need to disclose account access keys.
Encryption in Transit and at rest – applies different levels of encryption to your data while it’s transmitted and “at rest”.
Storage Analytics - offers logging and metrics data for storage accounts, facilitating the tracing of requests, analysis of usage patterns, and troubleshooting storage account issues. It records comprehensive information about successful and failed requests, including various error types, requests made using Shared Access Signatures (SAS), and requests to analytics data, providing valuable insights for monitoring and diagnosing storage service operations.
You can learn more about Microsoft Azure Security by following .
Azure AI Services is a set of cloud-based APIs that developers can use in AI applications and data flows. It provides pretrained models that are ready to use in applications, requiring no data and no model training on the developer’s part. The services are developed by the Microsoft AI and Research team and expose the latest deep learning algorithms. They're consumed over HTTP REST interfaces.
SmartDocumentor relies on a set of these services, namely (used for transcriptions) and (used for form recognition). Azure AI Services abide by a security baseline (which you can read all about ) and by Azure AI services’ security (which you can read all about ).
The only data stored by DevScope when you use SmartDocumentor is the user’s email and name, which are necessary during the login process. DevScope doesn’t keep any other user data or pre-processed documents or audio or video files or extracted data. Everything is handled in Microsoft Azure and kept safe and private by the many security measures Microsoft has in place. DevScope doesn’t share the collected data with any third-party websites or service providers.
We uphold rigorous technical and organizational safeguards and security practices that align with industry standards and current technological advancements. These measures encompass employee reliability, restricted data access, strong authentication, training, regular backups, recovery protocols, incident management, data handling restrictions, and device-level data protection, all aimed at safeguarding your data from loss, unauthorized access, and misuse.
