Adding a Custom Domain

  1. Ensure you comply with the pre-requisites Pre-Requisites (Virtual Networks) and Pre-Requisites (in that order) and have a domain ready to assign.

  2. In Azure Portal, find and navigate to the smart-documentor Container App resource. On the left sidebar, click and find the "Custom domains" tab under "Networking".

  3. Click "Add custom domain" in the domains table:

  4. Follow the instructions on the side panel to add your custom domain. Note that if you bring your own certificate, you are responsible for managing and updating the certificate when necessary.

  5. Validate and assign the domain. Depending on your domain registrar this may take some time.

  6. Once the domain is validated, open it in a browser. You should see the SmartDocumentor login page. note that most functionality still won't function until you complete the final step.

  7. Re-deploy the application using the same parameters as your original deployment, but setting the "Custom Domain" setting to your domain. Make sure you include "https://" and don't end in "/". Https is required.

  8. If you have configured Adding login with Microsoft Account, ensure you navigate to the app registration you created previously and add a new URI for your new domain.
